Information for teachers

Scenes of Silence is daily visited by school classes. It appeared that the experience of complete silence as well as the encounter with deaf people is a big challenge especially for children and teenagers. To optimise the visit of the exhibition, a substantiated preparation and post processing of the visit is recommended.

Workshops

Several workshops are offered for further information and deeper impression:

Discussion with the Guide

The Guide who accompanied the group through the exhibition discusses with the visitors and answers questions that aroused during the visit of Scenes of Silence. The discussion will be translated of a sign-language interpreter.

The discussion lasts about 30 minutes and takes place in our seminar rooms directly after the visit.

Costs: 2.50 € per person. Booking required.

Trial sign language course

Here an introduction to sign language and a survey of the basics are given. First signs are taught.
